DESCRIPTION

The Burlington Briefcase in classic nut is a quintessential piece defined by its craftsmanship and detail. The exterior is made using the finest smooth bridle leather and the interior features a neutral-toned suede. The briefcase is light to carry and the perfect size for a small laptop or iPad and notebook, featuring two A4 sized slip pockets – one on the outside and one on the inside. The front of the briefcase adorns a brass lock, which comes with a set of two keys. Over time the bridle leather will acquire a stunning patina, becoming shinier and smoother as the years go by.

Please note that a natural white bloom may appear on the bridle leather, this will disappear with a light polish using a soft cloth. The briefcase comes with a complimentary Ettinger Leather Balm to ensure the best care and we strongly recommend reading the leather care instructions prior to cleaning the briefcase.

LEATHER AND MATERIALS

Traditional English Bridle Hide

The most English of all leathers, traditional bridle hide is made using a lengthy and natural process involving centuries old tanning pits and painstaking hand-finishing. It is only in this way that we can achieve the thickness, durability and especially the distinctive look and feel of this traditional equestrian leather.

Natural Pig Suede

Pig suede has a silky touch and is instantly recognisable thanks to the little dots caused by the pig’s follicles. Pig skin is naturally thin and supple but this is enhanced further by several mechanical processes to massage and soften up the leather, once the skins have been chrome tanned and dyed through.
Suede is in fact the flesh side of the skin, which has been finely trimmed and brushed. It is a beautiful leather for lining fine leather accessories and bags.
