The inaugural Walpole Power List 2019 highlights the 50 most influential people in British luxury and we are delighted the CEO of Ettinger has been named as one of the Legends.

Robert Ettinger, CEO of his family-owned and run business, has been named as one of the Top 50 movers and shakers in the UK luxury products sector.

The 'Inaugural Walpole Power List 2019' was revealed in London at the end of last week and Robert is one of six included in the "Legends" section who are described as 'high-profile figures with a significant role in shaping the culture and legacy of British luxury today'.

Walpole says the British luxury sector is now worth £48 billion to the UK economy – an increase of 49% in four years. Its power list identifies the figures steering the sector forward with its roll call of the "50 Most Influential People in British Luxury": the entrepreneurs, founders, game-changers, gurus, heroes, legends, mavericks, rising stars, storytellers and taste-makers within its membership.

Robert has been running the business for nearly 30 years, having taken over from his father in 1990 and which today exports to over 35 countries worldwide whilst maintaining and expanding its manufacturing base from its factory in Walsall, north west of Birmingham. In 2019 the company is celebrating its 85th anniversary and is proud to have initiated the first British Men's Style Multi-Brand Press Day which is taking place on Tuesday 2nd July at Spencer House in London to help further grow awareness of the growing number of successful luxury British Men's Style brands.

Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, said: "British luxury has a unique sensibility – its products and experiences make the country famous throughout the world for creativity, craftsmanship, innovation and the ability to conjure new, exciting, relevant stories from a magical past."
