The Ettinger 'Family'
This family business is now in the hands of the third generation of Ettingers. The business is made up of a team of outstanding craftspeople primarily based in Walsall and a small commercial team in London. Design is often carried out in house as is pattern making and sample making, a highly skilled craft. From cutting to stitching to finishing everyone has a speciality which they have mastered. The business employs about 30 people (including outworkers) each of whom plays a vital role in delivering outstanding products to the customer.

Some of our key people:
Robert Ettinger, Managing Director. Robert has spent over 30 years in the business having learnt the trade from his father and in the factory. His apprenticeships included time working in Germany and Canada, which has given him an international perspective on the business. This has been critical in a business, which exports to over 20 countries. He travels the world meeting our customers and speaks fluent French and German.
Alison Peters, Sales Manager has been with Ettinger for over 10 years and looks after the UK customers as well as our prestigious Wimbledon Championships and University of Oxford licences.
Margaret, Warehouse Manager looks after all of our dispatches around the world, ensuring the logistics work and that everything arrives in perfect shape on time.
Karen is probably the first person you will talk to if you call us. She helps to coordinate everyone and everything and can certainly put you in touch with the right person in the organisation.
Gary, our factory manager is the most experienced leather worker in our factory. He has been making leather goods for over 20 years and can turn any idea into a finished product overnight.
Meg, Operations Manager in our factory checks everything. Every small detail is looked at and if not perfect, back it goes for a rework before being packed.
Trudy, Accounts Manager in the Head Office keeps an eye on the pounds, shillings and pence and ensures that the books are in perfect order.
Tony, sample and bespoke work, makes small runs of items as well as samples and customised products for some longstanding customers.
