We also provide an on-line shop, where customers can buy a range of Ettinger products to be delivered nationally and internationally. Although we have endeavoured to make sure that all content is correct and up-to date, some minor errors may appear, for which we cannot be held responsible. Description & Product Information
Although we endeavour to give as accurate and complete descriptions as possible of the products sold on this website, we cannot be held responsible for the minor errors that may occur.
Moreover, we have taken as many product pictures as possible, from different angles, to show you as many product features as possible and to help you choose the right item to purchase. However, due to different screen resolutions and the complexity of some colours and photography processes, we cannot guarantee that what you see on screen will accurately reflect the actual item.
In the unlikely event that you should not be satisfied with the item that you receive, please refer to our Returns Policy below.
Pricing & Tax
All prices shown on our website are either in UK Pounds Sterling (£, GBP), Euros (€, EUR) or US Dollars ($, USD). Variations in price may occur, due to variations in currency exchange rates or variations in the cost of materials (notably for items containing gold and silver). The price shown at the time of purchase will prevail, unless a gross pricing error has been made, in which case the situation will be reviewed with the customer on a case by case basis.
If you have selected a delivery country within the European Union (EU), then all prices will include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate, but exclude any personalisation and delivery. If you have selected a delivery country outside of the EU, where VAT does not apply, all prices shown will be exclusive of VAT, any personalisation, delivery and import duty costs.
Please note that VAT is payable at the UK rate for any European Union (EU) resident buying through this website, except for those living in certain tax free zones (like the Channel Islands for example). If you have purchased items from within the EU but are eligible for a tax refund (for example you are leaving the EU permanently within 3 months), please contact us to discuss ways to obtain tax refund forms.
If you live outside the EU and have articles sent outside the EU, then VAT does not apply and will be duly removed from your shopping list total as soon as you have entered your billing and delivery details. However, you may be liable for any further customs duty (import tax) that may be applied during shipment. We cannot be held responsible for any further costs due to local customs and duty taxes. The carrier will generally ask the recipient to pay for this import tax upon delivery.
Purchasing
To purchase a product, simply click on the appropriate button to add it to your shopping bag, then continue browsing or access your shopping bag (basket) to check out. You can access your shopping bag at any time by clicking on the link in the top right-hand corner of every page.
You can select your preferred country of delivery by clicking the link in the top left-hand corner of every page. This will ensure the most relevant pricing is shown on the website.
You can log in to your account at any time by clicking on the link in the top right-hand corner of every page. This will automatically load your personal details and facilitate your checkout.
To check out, simply go to your shopping bag then follow the guidelines on each new page to review your selected items, access your account if necessary, set the billing and delivery details and finally pay for the item(s) in our secure e-commerce gateway (SagePay).
We currently accept most major credit/debit cards in our secure payment gateway, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do not store, nor have access to your full card number.
Once your payment has been authorised by your bank, you will get a payment confirmation note from us by e-mail. Please note that our website is hosted in the UK and so paying through our website can be viewed as an international transaction, which many non-UK banks can block if they are not made aware of your “foreign” purchase. We therefore strongly recommend you warn your bank before any foreign transaction, as you would before travelling abroad.
Once we have received your order and the payment confirmation, we will endeavour to process your order within 24 working hours. These exclude weekends and any UK legal holidays, plus any company holidays (for example between Christmas and the New Year). Company holidays will be announced several weeks in advance; however UK legal holidays will not be announced by us as these can be viewed on various public sources.
We will dispatch your goods once we have ascertained that all product, billing and shipping details are in due form. Should there be any problem with one or more aspects of your order (for example an item may be out of stock or may require longer delivery time), we will contact you as soon as possible. Should either you or we decide to cancel the order, for any reason, before it is despatched, the other party will not hold the first party liable for any inconveniences.
It is only once your order has been despatched that the sale is deemed to be fully accepted and a sale contract is formed, based on our London (UK) address, unless you have ordered items requiring personalisation or specific manufacturing needs, in which case the contract is deemed valid once the work has started. We will send you a despatch or manufacturing confirmation note by email to notify you and provide any invoices and tracking details we may have.

Packing & Delivery
All our products are either wrapped in tissue and presented in a complimentary hand-made gift box or placed in a cloth dust bag. We then safely pack all your purchased items in a dispatch box or padded envelope, ready for delivery.
All our deliveries are made by our partner, FedEx, using their UK Next Day service or International Priority service. Some international destinations can benefit from next business day delivery, provided that the order is cleared before 12noon (London, UK, time) on a business day, but most may need 2 days or more. In any event, delivery times are given as estimates from the time of pick-up and we cannot be held responsible for minor delays. You will be notified when the parcel leaves our premises and the estimated delivery time starts then.
The cost of delivery will appear on your shopping list only when you have entered your delivery details. The cost is for one dispatch, regardless of the size and number of items chosen and is based on the following:
| Destination | Cost | Estimated time to delivery |
| United Kingdom | £6.00 | 1-2 days |
| Channel Islands | £14.00 | 1-2 days |
| European Union & North America | £14.00 | 1-2 days |
| Rest of Europe, Russia & Turkey | £26.00 | 2-3 days |
| Eastern Asia (except Japan), South East Asia and Australasia | £26.00 | 3-4 days |
| Rest of the World | £35.00 | 3-5 days |
Please note that, due to local agreements, orders made on www.ettinger.co.uk cannot be delivered to Japan. For deliveries to Japan, please place your order on www.ettinger.jp .
There may also be occasional delivery restrictions to certain countries, due to political or economic restrictions (for example in Russia, where we cannot use FedEx and therefore have to use Royal Mail) or natural disasters. Should your order be affected and FedEx cannot deliver the goods, we will notify you immediately and endeavour to find a suitable alternative. If no alternative is possible then your order will have to be cancelled or put on hold for you to pick up from our head office.
Whenever possible, you will be notified by e-mail when your order has been cleared for dispatch.
Please note that customs clearance procedures may delay the delivery of your goods, especially if your local customs office or any other representative has difficulties getting in touch with you. Moreover, you may be liable to pay customs duty and any other local tax upon delivery of the goods.
To ensure smooth delivery, please make sure the delivery contact details are accurate and the recipient is expecting the parcel.
If you are sending the parcel to a third party, for example as a gift, please note that they will be responsible for clearing the goods through customs and may have to pay import duty taxes. Please ensure they are made aware of this and that the delivery details, especially the telephone number, are theirs and not yours.
Finally, our carrier requires a signature upon delivery. If nobody is available at the point of delivery and a signature cannot be obtained they will leave a card, giving instructions for a re-delivery. Please note that, due to local language barriers, we cannot give delivery instructions for international deliveries, other than the recipient’s name, address and telephone number. Please make sure these are as clear and complete as possible.
Returns Policy
We will ensure that all EU customers are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) as stipulated by the UK Office of Fair Trading.
This means you can cancel any on-line order within seven (7) working days of receipt, unless this order has been personalised or made especially for you. We will, however, extend this cancellation period to fourteen (14) days from receipt of the goods.
To cancel your order, you must notify us in writing within the set time limit, by e-mail to e–shop@ettinger.co.uk , or by letter to:
Customer Returns
G Ettinger Ltd
215 Putney Bridge Road
London SW15 2NY
United Kingdom
Before sending the items back to us, you must wait for us to send you a confirmation of return, which will give you further instructions to help you send the goods back to us.
Please note that, under the DSRs, you are responsible for the full cost of returning any unwanted goods, unless the goods are faulty, in which case we will agree with you the best way to return the goods.
Moreover, you have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods you wish to return. you can therefore be held responsible for any damage occurring after you have received the goods, including during the return transport. It is therefore advisable to take on any extra insurance to cover the goods in transit, as well as keep proof of despatch.
Please make sure you return the goods unused and undamaged, with the original gift box (as this will contribute to better protection of the items in transit). Should you return faulty items, please mention faults accordingly in the accompanying documents.
Once you have cancelled your order, you are entitled to a full refund. We will endeavour to reimburse your returned goods within thirty (30) working days.
Termination
We reserve the right to close a customer account in the event that this customer is in breach with these Terms and/or the customer’s actions impact our legal liability. Moreover, you can ask us to close your account at any time on register@ettinger.co.uk .
